The Many Faces of Cancer 2017
The 2017 dinner was overwhelming, what a magnificent night Magarery Room at Adelaide Oval on Saturday October 14th 2017.
It was wonderful to see so many guests returning, and bringing family and friends to support the 3rd Gala, we had a great night in store with more than 410 people in attendance.
We are very pleased to announce the 2017 dinner raised $56,000 enabling us to support the valuable work of Cancer Council SA, in particular in 2017/2018 by sponsoring one of the Transport to treatment buses you see driving around the streets of Adelaide. These buses are taking the guest of the lodges to their daily treatment sessions. We are very proud to be able ensure this service is available to people in their time of need.
In 2018 we will also be working on a new project for the MFOC in conjunction with Outside Idea & Cancer Council SA.
The Flinders Lodge Garden Project, the establishment of a wellness garden space for the use of all guests staying at the Flinders Lodge. This is an ambitious and large project but one we have no doubt will benefit many and bring a welcome space to recover from treatment and share quality time with family and friends.
We will be calling on many for support and hands during this project, so if you are a business or would just like to get your hands dirty we need you.
